Universal communion
This piece of 12 square meters (3 x 4 m) composed of 24 rectangular modules was inspired by the magnificent domes of the Istanbul mosques. In a way, the cultural history of Turkey is entirely included in it. How not to see a parallel in the archiecture, with the explosion of the Gothic in Western Europe ? As it was not explained to us in our schools, you have to work yourself a little and learn to read a lot between geometries. T.M. 2019.
This piece was presented in an exhibition at the Hotel Despringles or Grandmont in Dijon, as part of the festival Les Nuits d'Orient in November and December 2018. In collaboration with Marie-Chantal Frère-Sautot (archaeologist and traveler) and Martine Boutillon (scholar and traveler).
