Someone once coined the phrase "the invisible" to describe the modest people who work every day to earn their bread. Innumerable bricks of the permanent reconstruction of the world we live in, we see them every day. Whether we're on foot, in a car, on a train, at work, hiking or strolling through our villages and towns, we come across hundreds of them in less than a month. We see them every day. But in fact, they are only visible for the fleeting moment of an optical disturbance, often accompanied by a brief invasion of sound. Yet sometimes our souls jump as we become aware of the danger that surrounds them, the sweat that sticks to their clothes, the pain that bends their backs or the discipline they impose on themselves. Then the cloak of our day closes over this ephemeral emotion and our lives go on under other suns, under other storms, while theirs continues in other distant fogs. Nevertheless, I caught a glimpse of you, invisible as you are, at last you and he, and I hope you're still here.
